The Farm Lodge and Lake Clark Air have teamed up with Jim Barr to offer the ultimate Alaska photography adventure.
Jim is a year-round Alaska resident whose work appears in galleries and museums and has been used by hundreds of publishers. His vast skills combine with his initial training as a painter to make him the perfect instructor for helping you with both the technical points as well as composition. Jim's goal is for you to not only go home with great experiences, but with spectacular images as well.
A new adventure awaits each day as we travel by well maintained floatplane or boat in search of bears, caribou, moose, eagles, tundra, wildflowers, berries, rugged mountains and glaciers, deep blue lakes, salmon-filled streams, active volcanoes, historic log cabins, and the other hidden treasures of the Alaska backcountry in and around Lake Clark and Katmai National Parks.
Our photography workshops include daily guided tours as well as optional evening activties to get you into the best light for the most memorable shots. It is our goal to send you home with unforgettable memories and images. We provide professional hands-on assistance and instruction in the use of 35mm digital and film, medium format digital and film, and large format/view cameras. While at the lodge we can provide assistance working with photoshop, digital camera files, monitor calibration and color management, and professional review of your photographs (time permitting). However you choose to make photographs, we can help you achieve the most while in one of the world's truly remarkable locations.
